About WattFortress

WattFortress is run by Jeff Callicutt, a homeowner who got serious about backup power. He bought an EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra X with 4 batteries and is setting it up now; we'll add real measurements once it's running. He has also ordered 22 CW Energy panels that are not installed yet.

Our goal is simple: help US homeowners figure out how much backup they actually need, in plain English, with the math shown.

How we work

• We size from first principles: watts, watt-hours, surge, and efficiency losses.
• We cite manufacturer spec pages and manuals, and list the date we checked each spec.
• We say clearly when something is an estimate.
• We earn money through affiliate links, and that never changes the math. See our affiliate disclosure.

Anything hard-wired to your home (transfer switches, inlets, rooftop or ground-mount solar) should be designed and installed by a licensed electrician, with permits.
